CAROLYN
LEBLANC
Carolyn LeBlanc is a Louisiana artist residing in St. Tammany Parish.
She began studying at BRFAA in 1980 and has continued in her
love for art over the years
remaining associated with the academy.
She works in a variety of mediums including watercolor, gouache, pastel
and oil.
Her specialty is pastel pet and children portraits. Her latest
commission was a donation of a pet portrait to
St. Pius X Church in New Orleans, for a silent auction,
which helped raise funds for repairing roof damage caused by Katrina.
It is said of her pet portraits "They capture the spirit/personality of
the animal".
She and her husband, George, began a tradition of producing an annual
Christmas card from Carolyn's original art.
The cards have become keepsakes and collectibles to many friends and
family members.
